Summary: (First part is unreadable) An infantry corps of 78 men from Baltimore under Capt. William T. Faithful have been mustered in and 20 or 25 of Capt. Walter Saunders' well-drilled Independent Riflemen have taken the oath and the rest expected to be mustered in today, although a few still needed to fill ranks. The 2nd Regiment forming at Cumberland is almost filled and recruiting for a 3rd Regiment under Col Wm. Louis Schley is recruiting in Baltimore.
