Summary: According to the Baltimore Gazette, J. Cook Mobberly of New Market, who is a medical student at the University of Maryland, was arrested by Gen. Woolley on charges of disloyalty and violating his oath of allegiance. In the presence of his classmates, Mobberly stated that he was a Rebel and uttered expressions supportive of the former Confederacy and disdainful of the Union. It was believed he was under the influence of alcohol when he made the statements.
