Breckenridge Meeting
Summary
Breckenridge supporters held a lightly attended meeting in Frederick, addressed by Isaac Stevens of Oregon.
Transcript
The _____ intended to hold a public meeting at the Court Square on Saturday evening, but the inclemency of the weather made a resort to the interior of the Court House preferable. Hon. Isaac I. Stevens, of Oregon, Chairman of the Breckenridge National Committee, addressed the meeting; there were comparatively few present, and the affair passed off coldly. Mr. Stevens, it seems, ___ the Cars at the Monocacy, and was piloted to town by a benevolent gentleman who casually met him.
