Inharmonious

Summary

"The Seymour and Blair Copperheads" held primary meetings in Washington Co to nominate a candidate for Congress. We understand Maj. Syester[?] carried the County, over Maulsby and Roman.

Transcript

INHARMONIOUS. – The Seymour and Blair Copperheads held Primary meetings throughout this County on Saturday last, the bone of contention being the nomination of a candidate for Congress. We understand Maj. Sylvester carried the County, but that Maulsby and Roman each had their friends. In this town the predominant feeling was not a very harmonious one, the conservatives having been pretty effectually snubbed. In Baltimore they have been dropped entirely, and it will not be long before they share the same fate here.
