Bell and Everett Club

Summary

The friends of the Constitution and Union Party of Mt. Pleasant District formed a very large Bell and Everett Club in Mt. Pleasant. John Houck, Esq. was chosen as president. Also a very large club was formed in Middletown with S. R. Bowlus (sp?) as president.

BELL AND EVERETT CLUBS. – The friends of the Constitution and Union party, of Mt. Pleasant District formed a very large Club, at Mt. Pleasant, on Saturday last, called the “Mt. Pleasant Bell and Everett Club.” - John Houck, Esq., was chosen President, Jacob Dillinger ____, M. Perry, Esq., Vice President, W. H. ___ and ______ Sapland, Secretaries. A very large Bell and Everett Club was amassed at Middletown, on Saturday, the 28th of July, by electing S. R. Rowlus[?], President, and Wm. Kealauyer, Secretary.
