Long speeches by John A. Lynch, Esq. and J. M. Kilgour, Esq. Lynch said that all parties should unite against the Black Republicans. He blamed the Democratic party for the current crisis and said the Bell/Everett ticket "presented the only possible rallying point promising the slightest chance for success."
