The Manor Guard

Summary

Manor Guard under Capt. Joseph N. Chiswell reached its quota of arms and accoutrements after much delay. Each man received a six-barrel revolver of the most approved description with a belt plus a saber.

Transcript

THE MANOR GUARD – This fine corps of Mounted volunteers, under the command of Capt. Joseph N. Chiswell, after a tedious but unavoidable delay, have at length received their quota of arms and accoutrements from the State. The equipment consist of a six-barrel revolver, of the most approved description, with belt, and a saber for each member of the company. – The Manor Guard is now fully organized and armed, well mounted and in a high state of efficiency.
