"We neglected in our last to notice the enlargement of the Mail, which is now a nine column paper, and with its new head makes quite an attractive appearance. Unfortunately, however, the new head is an artistic and not an editorial one, but we presume this makes no difference to the Democrats with whom a pretty picture goes further than a pretty sentiment."
