War Damages

Summary

Hon. Francis Thomas, representative in Congress, is ready to make a claim for damages caused by the burning of two bridges in the Frederick area. These bridges were ordered burned by Gen. Lew Wallace at the time of the Battle of Monocacy in order to retard the advance of Gen. Early on Washington and to release the troops which were guarding them so they could fight.
