Summary

Proceedings of a meeting of the "democracy" of this district at the Academy in "pursuance of a call of the central Committee of Frederick county." Delegates were appointed to the county Convention in Frederick on the 11th. The object is to "unite the democracy of the State." An aim is to bring about a union of all the conservative elements for the defeat of the sectional disunion of the Republican party, and endorsing Breckinridge and Lane as the representatives of the democratic principles and the nominees of the National Democratic Party."
