McClellan Guards

Summary

The McClellan Guards is a company of 90 men under the command of Capt. Alfred Schley of Liberty. The Guards were recently mustered into the "Public Guard Regiment" under Col. Wm. Louis Schley at Camp Hoffman, Baltimore. Some of the men are Frederick Co. residents. The Guards elected Alfred Schley as captain and J. P. Gleeson as first lieutenant.
