Summary
Long article criticizing the law prohibiting free Negroes from coming into MD unless as servants accompanying white men. Editor says it is too arbitrary and stringent to be effective, cites two cases, one involving servants of Lt. Holibirt, the other an "idiotic" chimney sweep. The law's text is appended.
