"This Company of Cavalry, recently stationed at the [Hagerstown] Fair Grounds, was ordered to Frederick, and on Saturday last took its departure for that city." The Co. initially refused the order because they wanted to be attached to the 4th Regt. (Home Brigade), "but that they were compelled to go."
