Summary

From Cumberland Telegraph article: Capt. William Fiery's Co. of Cavalry, raised in Clear Spring, Washington Co., arrived from Frederick to be attached to Cumberland Home Brigade, part of the Allegany regt. Each man armed with a Sharp's rifle and navy revolver; supposed to get sabers. 1st Lt. Alexander Flory; 2nd Lt. Albert Metz. "The secession cavalry across the river will now find something to engage their especial attention."
