"The ladies of Funkstown have organized an association for the purpose of providing for the comfort of the soldiers the coming winter." Mrs. Joseph Davis, President. Editor encourages ladies of Hagerstown to follow suit. List of soldier's needs: stockings, blankets, "other articles which the Government may not be prepared to furnish in time." Volunteer Aid Societies across the country.
