Guarding the Potomac
Summary
Col. Kenly’s 1st MD and Capt. Kennedy’s company from Col. Lamon’s regiment is guarding the Potomac above and below Williamsport. The 13 MA Regt. is guarding the river in the Sharpsburg region. It is believed that people of questionable loyalty still cross the river at Cherry Run, Hancock or other unguarded points.
