From the Baltimore Exchange, describes how R.H. Alvey (of Hagerstown) was duped into reading a letter purportedly from Confederate Gen. Johnston, and then was subsequently arrested for holding treasonable correspondence with the Confederates. He has been imprisoned ever since without charges being lodged against him.
