Union Meeting at Rohrersville
Summary
At a recent meeting held in District No. 8 (Rohrersville) to consider the national crisis, Elias E. Rohrer was appointed chairman; Josiah E. Mullendore, secretary; Lewis Lamar proposed the resolutions; and N.D. Toby delivered an address. Among the resolutions, it declared devotion to the Union and support for Gov. Hicks’ efforts to prevent Maryland’s withdrawal from the Union.
