Notice: Washington County Sheriff Edward M. Mobley announces that two runaway slaves were placed in the Washington County jail on June 30, 1860. The two slaves are Shadrick Carter, owned by Julia Donnelly, and Richard Julius who is owned by Mrs. Dixon.
