The Military Spirit
Summary
Urges citizens to revive interest in the military, which has been dormant for the last ten years. With the exception of the Potomac Guards of Williamsport and the recently formed Rohrersville Union Guard, there are no other military organizations in Washington County. John Brown’s raid has stimulated interest in the military in the rest of Maryland and in Virginia, but not here.
