A Returned Rebel
Summary
Former Frederick resident and Confederate General Bradley T. Johnson arrived in town last Wednesday where he was welcomed by his old friends. When Johnson visited the town with the Confederate army, however, the raids inflicted much “harm and injury” on the citizens. Had he not done so, he could have returned “with a much better face.”
