Summary

The Home Guards, Capt. David Bennett, the first organized volunteer company in MD, held a dress parade for target practice in Frederick. Lt. Wm. McLane won 1st prize, Pvt. Himburg 2nd, Wm. Shipley the award for "worst shot."
