District Meetings
Summary
Proceedings and resolutions of the Union-supporters' district meetings in Frederick County. Frederick, Jackson, Urbana, Creagerstown, Jefferson, Woodsboro, Johnsville, Buckeystown, Petersville, Mechanicstown, Liberty, and Mt. Pleasant districts. Some only voted for delegates to County Convention, others said emphatically they were to vote to support Union, some said they were to nominate for local offices. These were all Union voters, so newspaper articles did not include all resolutions texts, "for want of space", but it may be that all were of the same tone.
